Bead blast finishing is a surface treatment process used to create a uniform matte texture on machined parts through the controlled impact of abrasive microspheres under pressure. This process helps reduce glare, soften light machining marks, and improve the visual appearance of metal and plastic components.
Bead blast is widely used on CNC machined parts, industrial components, functional prototypes, consumer products, tooling, and high-appearance parts where a more homogeneous and aesthetic surface is desired without significantly altering component geometry.
In addition to improving cosmetic finish, bead blast is often used as surface preparation before downstream processes such as anodizing, paint, or coatings, as it helps create consistent texture across the part.
