Wash and UV cure is a post-processing operation used primarily in SLA, DLP, and other photopolymer resin 3D printing technologies. After printing, parts contain residual liquid resin on their surface, so they first go through a chemical wash stage to remove excess uncured material.
The part is then exposed to controlled ultraviolet light to complete resin polymerization and achieve final mechanical properties such as hardness, dimensional stability, and structural strength.
Wash and UV cure is widely used in 3D printing services, high-precision prototypes, cosmetic components, medical devices, visual models, and functional parts where excellent surface detail and professional finish are required.
