Warranty andReturns
Every part we ship is warranted against the drawing and against our Manufacturing Standards. Here is what that warranty covers, how to report a problem and how it is resolved.
PREMSA Industries warrants that delivered parts conform to the drawing, the CAD model and the specifications accepted in the quote, read according to our Manufacturing Standards. This is the only warranty we give on parts and replaces any other, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Because parts are made to order and to each customer's design, returns are not accepted for reasons other than a nonconformance with what was agreed. What we do warrant, we resolve: a part that does not conform is reworked, replaced or credited.
These conditions are part of every quote together with the Terms of Use and the Manufacturing Standards. A quality agreement or a purchase order signed by both parties may extend them; in that case the signed document prevails.
1. What the warranty covers
That parts correspond to the model and drawing revision frozen in the work order, within the drawing tolerances or, failing those, ISO 2768-m.
That the material corresponds to the quoted specification and, where traceability was required, to the certified heat shown in the lot record.
That finishes and special processes were performed to the stated specification by suppliers approved for that scope.
That the shipped quantity matches the packing list, and that parts arrive without handling damage inside their packaging.
2. How and when to report
Nonconformances are reported in writing within 30 calendar days of delivery, to ventas@premsaindustries.com or from your order in the portal, stating the order number, the part, the affected quantity and the deviation observed, with photos or measurements where possible.
Transit damage and quantity shortages are reported within 5 business days of delivery, with photographs of the packaging and of the parts as they arrived: that is the evidence the carrier requires to process a claim.
After those periods the parts are deemed accepted. We still review in good faith any later report that documents a manufacturing defect.
3. How it is resolved
On receiving the report we open a nonconformance in our quality system, analyze it against the lot record (measurements, inspections, certificates) and answer within 3 business days with the disposition.
If the nonconformance is attributable to PREMSA, we choose with you the remedy that best solves your need:
- Rework of the affected parts, where the geometry allows, at no cost.
- Replacement of the affected parts in the shortest possible time, with priority on the shop floor, at no cost.
- Credit note or refund of the price of the affected parts, when replacing them no longer serves you.
- In every case, return freight for nonconforming parts is paid by PREMSA when we ask for them to be sent back.
4. Returns (RMA)
No part is returned without a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number issued by PREMSA. The RMA identifies the order, the parts and the reason, and is what allows the return to be received, inspected and resolved on record.
On receiving returned parts we inspect them against the drawing and against your report. The result is communicated in writing with the disposition: rework, replacement, credit or, if the parts prove conforming, their return.
Conforming parts returned without a cause attributable to PREMSA earn no credit; they are sent back to the customer at the customer's freight cost, or a restocking charge is agreed where applicable.
5. What is not covered
- Design or functional defects of the part: we make what the model and drawing say; we do not validate that the part works in your application.
- Requirements that were not on the drawing or in the quote (tolerances, finishes, tests, cosmetics) when the price was accepted.
- Material, inserts or parts supplied by the customer, except for the operation PREMSA performed on them.
- Damage from installation, use, modification, overload, corrosion or improper storage after delivery, and normal wear.
- Parts modified, machined or treated by third parties after delivery.
- Deviations accepted by the customer through a written concession.
- Carrier delays or damage outside the claim periods in section 2.
6. Cancellations and changes
An order may be cancelled at no charge as long as material has not been cut and programming has not started. After that, committed material and work performed up to cancellation are charged; prepaid amounts are credited to your account or refunded net of those charges.
Changes to quantity, revision, material or finish after the quote is accepted are handled as an engineering change and confirmed in writing with their effect on price and date.
7. Limitation of liability
Our liability for any nonconformance is limited to rework, replacement or the invoiced value of the affected parts. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profit, line stoppages or removal and reinstallation costs, unless an agreement signed by both parties provides otherwise.
The above does not limit liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
