FAQ
A bushing guides and supports a shaft, reduces friction and protects the housing from wear: when it wears out, you replace the bushing, not the whole part. That is why it shows up in almost every machine: molds, conveyors, hinges, pivots, suspensions and agricultural equipment.
A plain bushing is a cylinder with a through bore; a stepped one (also called flanged or collared) changes diameter to seat against a shoulder and work as an axial stop; a spacer keeps an exact distance between two parts; and bushings with a thread, groove or lubrication hole add what the application needs to be fastened or greased.
What makes a bushing work is not only its size: it is the fit with the shaft and the housing (interference or sliding), the concentricity between the outer and inner diameters, the lead-in chamfer that keeps the shaft from being damaged on assembly and the bore finish. If your drawing calls out a fit, we quote it and inspect against that tolerance.
There are two ways to order: configure the plain bushing in the portal template, or upload your STEP or PDF drawing if it has a step, thread, groove or any other feature. Quote from one part; the price per part drops as the quantity goes up.
