You do not prepare anything. Every international shipment leaves with its full set of papers, built from your order data and the tariff code of each part.
What travels with every shipment
- Commercial invoice: description, use, tariff code, quantity and value of each part.
- Packing list: what is in each box.
- Shipper's declaration: that the goods are not hazardous and their origin.
- Label with tracking number.
Proof of origin by destination
This is the paper that lets your part enter at the trade agreement's preferential rate instead of the general one:
- United States and Canada: USMCA / CUSMA certification of origin. Canada can also receive the Canada Customs Invoice.
- European Union, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Iceland: origin declaration on the invoice, under each agreement.
- Japan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Peru: CPTPP certification of origin.
- Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Israel: the official certificate of their trade agreement with Mexico.
- Panama, Uruguay and Argentina: the certificate of origin issued by Mexico's Ministry of Economy.
- Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar: a certificate of origin from an authorized chamber.
We tell you which one applies to your shipment and, if someone else issues it, who handles it.
For the United States
The commercial invoice also declares each part's metal and the country where it was smelted and cast, which US Customs requires for Section 232 duties.
If your customer needs more
We can also include a certificate of conformance, a material certificate with heat number and inspection reports. Request them when quoting, since some need inspections planned before manufacturing.
