Quoting starts the moment you drop your file into the quoting platform. No form first, no meeting, and no account needed to see your part.
What happens in the first few seconds
- Your part appears in 3D with its dimensions: length, width, height and volume.
- An automatic manufacturability (DFM) check runs: eight checks that tell you whether the file can be made as it is.
- You can measure distances and diameters on the part and, for STEP files, see its 2D views.
3D printing: priced instantly
For FDM 3D printing the system calculates the price. We slice your part with the same software as the Bambu Lab X1C that will print it, using the material, infill and layer height you choose. That gives the real print time, the grams of filament and how many parts fit on one build plate, and from there the price per quantity and the lead time.
Change the quantity and the price updates on the spot. If the part needs something the slicer cannot see —special notes, threads, inserts, marking or a tighter-than-standard tolerance— it goes to an engineer instead of giving you a number that would not hold.
CNC machining: priced within 2–4 business hours
For CNC milling and turning, the viewer, dimensions and DFM are instant too, but a person confirms the price. Our engine proposes the process, the stock and the machine times; an engineer checks them against your tolerances and drawing, and you get quantity pricing with lead time, usually within 2 to 4 business hours.
That is deliberate: an automatic machining price that has to be corrected later costs you more time than waiting a few hours for one that holds.
After the price
