When you submit your quote you get a confirmation with its quote number. From there, the work is ours.
The three steps
- Engineering review. We open your file, check the geometry and confirm that what you configured matches the model and the drawing.
- Manufacturing validation. We define the process, workholding and sequence of operations, and flag any manufacturability risk worth solving before machining.
- Price and follow-up. We send quantity pricing with lead time, or write to you first if something needs clarifying.
When we will write to you before quoting
- If the model and drawing disagree on a dimension.
- If a feature cannot be made as drawn.
- If the requested tolerance does not match the apparent function of the part.
- If thread, finish or quantity information that significantly changes the price is missing.
How to speed it up
Upload a STEP instead of a native format, mark only the critical dimensions, give a quantity even if approximate and describe what the part does. That way most quotes go out without back-and-forth, usually within 2 to 4 business hours.
