Every part is inspected before shipping against your drawing and our Manufacturing Standards. What changes by project is which documents travel with it.
Documents we can provide
- Certificate of conformance (CoC): states that the lot meets the drawing and the order.
- Inspection report: first piece, in-process or final, with measured dimensions and the instrument used.
- AS9102 FAI: first article inspection with the ballooned drawing and every characteristic measured.
- Material certificate: the mill certificate, with the heat number of the lot used for your parts.
- PPAP: by level, when your customer requires it.
Request them when quoting
Some require planning inspection before manufacturing: an FAI or heat traceability cannot be reconstructed afterwards. That is why quality requirements are set in the quote and travel with the job until the shipment is released.
Calibrated instruments
Measurements are taken with registered instruments with current calibration; an expired instrument cannot record a measurement.
